The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV is the second model year for the brand’s full-size electric pickup truck, and it brings some noteworthy revisions to make the model appealing to a wider range of customers in the U.S.
A while back, we got to spend some time with the vehicle in the new 2025 LT Extended Range variant with the black interior and exterior. These are the four big changes we observed in the new electric truck over the previous model year:
Added Range

The most significant improvement in the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV is the increased range, something professionals aiming to use the truck for work will particularly appreciate. The Work Truck trim can deliver an EPA-estimated range of up to 492 miles, 42 miles more than in the previous model. GM estimates the RST trim will also offer a 20-mile improvement in the range, going up from 440 miles to 460 miles.
New Battery Pack Options
A new Standard Range battery pack brings the 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV’s entry price down to USD 57,095, making it significantly more affordable. Available exclusively in the Work Truck trim, this configuration delivers an EPA-estimated range of 282 miles and offers up to 2,350 lbs. of maximum payload capacity and up to 8,500 lbs. of maximum towing capacity.
The 2025 Silverado EV’s RST trim is also more affordable compared to the previous model, thanks to the availability of an Extended Range battery pack option. Priced at USD 89,395, USD 8,500 lower than the top-end configuration with the Max Range battery pack (USD 97,895), it delivers an EPA-estimated range of 390 miles.

More Colors
A new Slate Gray shade expands the color palette of the Chevrolet Silverado EV Work Truck in the 2025 model year.
Higher Trims
A new ‘LT’ trim, priced at USD 75,195, gives retail customers a new middle ground between the basic Work Truck trim and the fully loaded RST trim. It is exclusively available with the Extended Range battery pack that can be charged at up to 300 kW and delivers an EPA-estimated range of 408 miles. Packing a dual-motor powertrain generating up to 765 lb.-ft. of torque and 645 hp with Wide Open Watts mode, it can carry payloads of up to 1,800 lbs. and tow up to 12,500 lbs.

The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado EV LT features a unique lower front fascia and uplevel exterior lighting, including an illuminated brand logo at the front. 18-inch wheels, the Multi-Flex Tailgate, an 11-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system are some other highlights of the new trim.
A Premium Package, which the vehicle in this story is equipped with, is priced at USD 6,800. It available as an option for the LT trim. It adds the Multi-Flex Midgate and Super Cruise features and swaps the 18-inch wheels with 22-inch ones. The larger wheels bring the EPA-estimated range down to 390 miles.
