The new Toyota bZ4X Touring unveiled overnight is a longer, more upright, and more rugged-looking version of the facelifted bZ4X.

Toyota Australia confirmed the lengthened version of the bZ4X will be available in Australia during the first half of 2026.

It will complement a facelifted version of the bZ4X, which will be arriving in Australian showrooms in the fourth quarter of 2025.

The bZ4X Touring will be offered with just one drivetrain: a dual-motor all-wheel drive setup with 280kW on tap.

Toyota hasn’t provided performance figures for the bZ4X Touring — which is being sold in the US as the bZ Woodland — but the almost identical Subaru Trailseeker has the same drivetrain, and has a quoted 0-60mph (0-97km/h) time of 4.4 seconds.

It has a 74.7kWh battery pack for a range of up to 418km under the US EPA testing regime. AC charging speeds max out at 11kW, and the car supports DC fast charging up to 150kW. It also comes with battery pre-conditioning to reduce rapid charging times.
