ClassicCars TV spotted an extra-special performance car at the Barrett-Jackson 2024 Scottsdale Fall Auction: a 1995 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1. Not only was it a ZR-1, powered by a 405-horse LT5 V8 developed by Lotus, but it also came from the collection of the late David M. Ressler, a renowned Corvette enthusiast.
On top of that, this “King of the Hill” was from the final model year of the C4 ZR-1. Mr. Ressler resisted the urge to rack up high numbers on the odometer, putting only 73 miles on this significant piece of Corvette history. The person who placed the winning bid of $82,500 has an important decision to make: keep the miles low or drive this milestone of a machine everywhere?
