The 2026 Toyota Tundra Hybrid enters its fifth year for the current generation and carries over largely unchanged from 2025, retaining Toyota’s i-Force Max system and mechanical systems while getting fresh paint options, updated interior colors and feature options.
We spent some time with the 2026 Toyota Tundra Hybrid in the TRD Pro trim, finished in the Magnetic Gray Metallic body color, and here are our observations.
Design

For 2026, the Toyota Tundra Hybrid gets the Mudbath color option, which was a TRD Pro exclusive on 2025 models, across all trims, while the Smoked Mesquite and Terra paint options from 2025 are dropped. A new, exclusive Wave Maker paint option is also introduced for TRD Pro models.
There are no design changes in the 2026 model year. The front end uses a large, wide grille structure with surfacing varying by trim, including mesh or solid patterns, with “TOYOTA” block lettering on selected grades. LED headlamps are standard and integrate daytime running lights within the housing.
From the side, the Tundra keeps its squared-off fender openings, a straight shoulder line, and a tall cab profile. Bed lengths of 6.5-ft. or 5.5-ft. are offered on the Limited, Platinum, and 1794 Edition, while all other trims get a standard 5.5-ft. bed.

Wheel designs and sizes vary based on trim, with the Limited, Platinum, and 1794 Edition getting 20-inch wheels in different finishes, while the TRD Pro gets 18-inch BBS wheels, and the Capstone gets 22-inch wheels.
At the rear, the truck continues featuring a stamped tailgate with integrated handle-shaped lighting. Vertical taillamps frame the tailgate opening and vary in internal layout by grade. The rear bumper includes corner steps, a trailer hitch receiver, and trim-specific badging and finish elements to distinguish individual variants.
Interior

Inside, the Tundra Hybrid for 2026 gets a new Shale Premium Textured Leather finish on the Capstone trim and ISO Dynamic Seats newly available on Tundra TRD Pro.

The Limited grade also transitions from SofTex to Boulder or Black leather-trimmed seats, showcasing a new pattern with black leather seat surfaces featuring white stitching and gray leather seat surfaces adorned with black stitching.
We did not note any other changes in the 2026 model year truck. The driver display continues to be handled by a 12.3-inch display, while infotainment is handled by a 14-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay on all hybrid trims.

Wireless phone charging and 12-speaker JBL Premium audio are also standard across all hybrid variants except the Limited.
Physical buttons and rotary controls remain in place for climate and drive mode functions. Seating materials, upholstery patterns, and trim finishes remain grade-dependent. Storage areas, center console layout, and rear seat configurations continue unchanged.
Specifications

The 2026 Tundra Hybrid retains Toyota’s i-Force Max hybrid system. The setup pairs a 3.4L Twin-Turbo V6 Hybrid with an electric motor situated between the engine and the 10-speed automatic transmission housing to produce a combined output of 437 hp at 5,200 rpm and 583 lb-ft of torque at 2,400 rpm.
Maximum towing capacity varies between 10,960 lbs. and 11,450 lbs. depending on trim and bed configuration. Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 remains standard equipment. The suite continues to include adaptive cruise control, lane assist functions, automatic emergency braking, and road sign assist.
