Hyster introduces XN2 electric forklift

Hyster has launched the E2.2–3.5XN2, a cushion tyre electric lift truck series with a capacity range of 2,000–3,000kg, building on its established XN models with updated ergonomics, expanded power options and revised service access.

The XN2 series is available in two performance configurations. The Intelimatch specification is designed for smooth, efficient operation, while the Duramatch configuration offers an energy efficiency improvement of up to 20% and up to 65% faster lift and lower speeds compared to what Hyster describes as leading competitors. Operators can also select from multiple battery types, including purpose-built Hyster lithium-ion batteries alongside lead acid and thin plate pure lead options, as well as modular lithium-ion power in a variety of box sizes.

The series features what Hyster says is the largest through-mast window in its class — 34% larger than the previous model — alongside a near-zero turn radius to aid navigation in confined spaces. Suspended and air ride seat options are available to reduce shock and vibration transmitted to the operator, and a flip-up armrest and intuitive controls are included to help reduce fatigue during extended shifts.

Fully sealed wet brake axles require 20% less service over the life of the truck compared to the previous model, and the machine has been designed to allow technicians quicker access to service areas. The Hyster Tracker telemetry system’s wireless monitoring tier is standard across the XN2 range, alongside a touchscreen display providing access to speed and battery data and enabling performance calibration. Optional additions include the Hyster Dynamic Stability System and the Hyster Reaction pedestrian awareness camera.

“While no two operations are exactly alike, constant pressure to do more with less is a common theme, from keeping equipment costs in check to gaining more productivity from a limited pool of experienced lift truck operators,” says Lauren Grady, global product manager at Hyster. “The new XN2 lift truck models set the bar higher, with the ergonomics, visibility and performance demanding applications require, while empowering operations to configure the right solution for their unique requirements.”

The XN2 series is aimed at manufacturers and distributors in sectors including paper and packaging, automotive and agriculture.
