AutoHunter Spotlight: 1996 Dodge Viper RT/10

Share

Right now on AutoHunter, you can find this 1996 Dodge Viper RT/10 roadster powered by a tuned 8.0-liter V-10 connected to a six-speed manual gearbox. Finished in Viper Black with silver stripes and a black removable top over a Black leather interior, this American sports car is now offered by the selling dealer in Minnesota with side window curtains, owner’s manual, service manual, service records, build sheet, dyno sheet, Experian AutoCheck Report, and clear title.

Don’t worry — this snake won’t shed its Viper Black skin with silver stripes. However, you can remove its roof panel, side window curtains, and rear window for a more open-air driving experience. Other features include fog lights, body-color mirror caps, and dual center-exit exhaust outlets.

A set of 17-inch HRE wheels with 275/40 (front) and 335/35 (rear) Michelin tires enable this Viper to strike both straightaways and curves. Behind the spokes is a set of power disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors.

Black leather covers the bucket seats and the rim of the three-spoke steering wheel. The rest of the cabin? That’s black, too. Features include a tilt steering column, power steering, air conditioning, Sony AM/FM/CD/USB/AUX radio, JL Audio speakers and amplifiers, and Speed Dawg shift knob mounted on a lowering kit.

Instrumentation consists of a 160-mph speedometer, 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The odometer shows 61,200 miles, a slight increase from the most recent figure of 58,898 miles logged on the March 2024 Experian AutoCheck Report.

Swing up the massive front-hinged hood and you’ll see an 8.0-liter V-10 that was modified by West Coast Viper of Temecula, California. It comes equipped with a custom ECU tune and MSD spark plug wires. According to the dyno sheet, the engine produces 411 horsepower and 522 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels. A six-speed manual transmission on an Energy Suspension transmission mount sends the engine’s power to a 3.07:1 limited-slip rear differential.

The Dodge Viper is one of the most outrageous and memorable cars of the 1990s. With its additional power, this 1996 Dodge Viper RT/10 is more potent than ever. The best way to charm this snake and make it slither into your garage is to bid on it before the auction ends on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, at 12:15 p.m. (PDT).
