If you’re looking for a classic car that’s minty fresh, you’re in luck. PPG Winter Mint Green was the color of choice for a unique restomod featured on AutoHunter. It’s a 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air Custom Coupe listed for sale by a private seller in Wichita, Kansas, and the auction will end tomorrow.

According to the data tag, the car rolled off of Chevy’s St. Louis, Missouri assembly line in two-tone Romany Red and India Ivory. Later in life, it received a color change during a restoration. Exterior features include chrome bumpers and trim, antenna, driver-side mirror, dual exhaust system, and 15-inch Weld aluminum wheels. The hood and trunk lid have been shaved for a cleaner look overall.

The 1954 Bel Air paved the way for the popular Tri-Five Chevrolet models that would follow from 1955-57. Chevrolet promoted the car for its blend of performance and economy. One advertisement said, “This new 1954 Chevrolet offers more things you want – at lowest cost – than any other car. Fresh, new 1954 styling outside and in makes Chevrolet even more of a stand-out.”

The cabin received bucket seats from a 1964 Chevrolet Impala. Features include white vinyl upholstery, Vintage Air HVAC, power steering, tilt steering column, Bluetooth-compatible sound system, and VDO-branded gauges.

Under the hood is a 355ci V-8 that features a four-barrel carburetor, performance camshaft, aluminum radiator, and four-bolt main. A 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission sends power to the rear wheels; the differential with 3.08 gearing came from a 1969 Chevrolet Nova. As an added bonus, the car received power front disc brakes for optimized stopping power. Suspension-wise, the car has a sportier stance via two-inch drop spindles up front and a four-inch drop in the rear.

The seller has provided a 360-degree walk-around video (below) that shows this ’54 in greater detail. With its shaved trim, custom wheels, lowered suspension, modernized brakes, and Vintage Air HVAC system, it checks a lot of boxes for classic Chevy enthusiasts. Plus, just like its color suggests, it’s in pretty mint condition throughout. Place your bid by tomorrow and you might just take it home!

The auction for this 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air Custom Coupe ends Friday, April 3, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. (PDT).
