Currently listed for sale on AutoHunter is this unusual 1982 Datsun 720 King Cab 4×4 pickup. This “son of DAT” is powered by a 2.2-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Features include a pop-up moonroof, power steering, power front disc brakes, bedliner, grille guard, console, AM/FM stereo with a cassette player, and more. Painted red with a black leather interior, this extended-cab pickup comes from the selling dealer with a clean AutoCheck report and a clear title.
The mostly original red exterior is complemented by a front grille guard, sliding rear glass window, dual black side mirrors, (new) bedliner, no rear bumper, and rear mudflaps. A set of 15-inch white steel wheels with manual front hubs is wrapped in WestLake 235/75 radials.

The interior consists of black bucket seats that have been reupholstered in leather. Between the seats lies a console housing a manual transmission shifter. Other interior features include power steering and a factory AM/FM stereo with a cassette player. Peek in the King Cab and you’ll find a pair of jump seats. You can’t see it here (visit the auction’s gallery), but there also is a pop-up moonroof.

Instrumentation includes an 85-mph speedometer, 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the coolant temperature and fuel level. A set of auxiliary gauges measuring oil pressure and voltage is in the center stack. The odometer shows 158,017, which is in line with the most recent AutoCheck reading from October 2024.

Power comes from a Z22S 2.2-liter inline-four with a two-barrel carburetor. It is backed by a five-speed manual transmission with overdrive. A dual-range transfer case handles the four-wheel drive system.

The undercarriage features power brakes (with discs up front), single-exist exhaust, and spare tire.
