Toyota today dropped a bunch of next-gen RAV4 teasers across its American, European, and social media communication channels. These visuals confirm several design and feature updates ahead of its world debut tomorrow.
In this story we’ll break down what’s revealed in the teasers from the different regions. Note that not all features discussed below apply to the U.S.-spec 2026 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid.
U.S.
Toyota’s American teaser features three images in one frame. It confirms the return of the Woodland Edition for model year 2026, identified by its ‘Army Green’ color and all-terrain tires. The image also reveals a large roof spoiler, gloss black center panel with the Toyota badge and ‘RAV4’ branding, a vertical tailgate, and arrow-style taillights, which may have a sequential function.
The second vehicle in the teaser seems to be the standard car, possibly the XSE variant. It shows a U-shaped honeycomb grille, black bumper inserts, and headlights linked by a trim piece. Overall, the design looks nothing like the current RAV4.
Europe

Toyota Europe’s teaser gives a partial look at the front, confirming C-shaped lights and a Hammerhead-inspired nose. Zooming in, we’re able to spot the cut out for the headlamp washer, black side mirror enclosures, blacked-out B-pillar, and conventional pull-type door handle. The styling looks more adventurous, and is a radical departure for the sixth-gen RAV4.
Global

Toyota’s global Facebook page shared two separate teasers, likely showing regional models. One highlights a large rear wing, a black roof with a floating effect, privacy glass, and dual-tone paint, possibly hinting at a RAV4 GR Sport trim. The other image emphasizes the SUV’s width, with broad taillights and prominent rear haunches.

Today also marks the first time of Toyota confirming the new RAV4 as the model premiering on May 20. While no new specifications were mentioned, earlier teasers have hinted at a refreshed dashboard with metallic elements, a larger touchscreen, a customizable digital instrument cluster, a new seat with higher quality materials, and an updated steering wheel.

We expect Toyota to continue using the 2.5-liter engine in the hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants, but with improved electric-only range, lower noise and vibration, and enhanced overall performance.
