The LRT Kelana Jaya Line has been experiencing delays since this morning due to a train being stuck at the Kelana Jaya station. Rapid KL says that the train can’t move due to a component issue and repairs are ongoing.
As such, trains from both directions will have to turn back at Taman Jaya (from Gombak) and Ara Damansara (from Putra Heights). To bridge the gap, there will be shuttle trains between Ara Damansara to Kelana Jaya (Platform 2, every eight minutes) and between Kelana Jaya and Taman Jaya (Platform 2, every 12 minutes).
To continue your journey at Taman Jaya and Ara Damansara, disembark and take the shuttle trains. Free shuttle bus services are also being provided between Ara Damansara and Taman Jaya at a frequency of between 15 to 20 minutes, depending on traffic conditions.
Rapid KL says that trains will be operating at reduced speed and may experience longer stops at platforms. Passengers are advised to consider alternative routes such as the the MRT Kajang Line, LRT Sri Petaling/Ampang Line and the MRT Putrajaya Line to reach their destinations. Extra staff have been deployed at affected stations to assist commuters and there are announcements being made too.
