Update: ‘Price & Release Date’ section revised.
Mazda has unveiled the CX-6e crossover for Europe, marking its second European model developed with Chinese joint venture partner Changan after the 6e sedan. Recently, we got an opportunity to take a close look at the CX-6e, and here’s what we observed.
Design
The Mazda CX-6e takes on the design theme “Future + Soul x Modern,” and in person, comes across as an SUV alternative to the 6e sedan.

While it may share its underpinnings with Changan’s Deepal S07, the CX-6e has a different personality. The exterior incorporates air channels at the tip of the hood and other areas. Mazda links these airflow elements to improved aerodynamics and lower power consumption at higher speeds, though range isn’t class-leading.
From the side, the SUV uses a cab-rearward stance and a fastback-style roof that tapers into a blacked-out D-pillar. A high beltline and pronounced shoulder crease run from the front fender into the rear haunches.
Large aero wheels and flush door handles keep the surfacing clean. Gloss-black wheel arch trim and a deep lower skirt present a two-tone look, with a bright rocker insert adding contrast. The rear carries a slim full-width light bar with separated lamp pods and MAZDA lettering. A roof spoiler, steep rear windshield, and a dark bumper with a diffuser-style element complete the tail.
Interior

The cabin uses a layered, wraparound architecture that visually links the slim, concave dashboard with the door panels. Soft-touch materials dominate the main surfaces, and the contrasting color scheme gives the interior a rich, lounge-like feel.
A slim, wing-shaped illuminated strip runs across the dashboard, emphasizing the width of the cabin, while the 256-color ambient lighting system subtly highlights the dashboard, door panels, and lower cabin areas.
The door cards feature slanted, layered surfaces, and the integrated OLED displays for the digital side mirrors are neatly blended into the overall layout rather than feeling like add-on screens.

Mazda has eliminated a conventional instrument cluster altogether, relying instead on a head-up display for driving information.
The main interface is a wide 26-inch continuous touchscreen that stretches across the dashboard, combining the functions of a central infotainment screen and a front passenger display. The result is a very clean and horizontal dashboard design, with most physical controls removed and the focus placed firmly on the screen and the layered surfaces beneath it.
Specifications
The Mazda CX-6e measures 4,850 mm (190.9 in.) in length, 1,935 mm (76.2 in.) in width, and 1,620 mm (63.8 in.) in height and has a 2,902 mm wheelbase (114.3 in.). In Europe, it will be available only in a single-motor RWD configuration, with a modest 190 kW (255 hp) and 290 Nm (214 lb.-ft.) of torque.

A 78 kWh LFP battery pack powers the rear motor, and it supports charging at up to 195 kW. Mazda says charging it from 10% to 80% SoC takes at least 24 minutes, and depending on the grade, it delivers a WLTP range of up to 484 kilometers (301 miles).
