The fourth-generation Nissan Rogue is officially confirmed as the first model with the company’s e-Power series-hybrid system in the U.S. and Canada. The Rogue Hybrid will reach Nissan’s North American dealers as a MY2027 vehicle, and here are the changes that we expect:
Design
Going by Nissan’s official teasers and recent test prototypes, the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid has an athletic yet dynamic character, with bold styling. A sleeker and less upright front-end is a key distinguishing aspect of the 2027 model, as shown in our exclusive renderings in this story.
At the front, the redesigned new Rogue Hybrid features a noticeably wider, curvy radiator grille with hexagonal inserts. The daytime running lights (DRLs) maintain this look, while the Nissan logo on the radiator grille comes with backlighting.

Slim headlamps positioned above the DRLs should feature a sharp design and consist of three segments to convey a sophisticated look. The bumper also takes on an edgy styling, integrating a triangular side elements. Spy shots confirm that the lower grille will feature large hexagonal openings, somewhat similar to the radiator grille inserts.
The side profile of the 2027 Rogue Hybrid is comparable to the current compact SUV, featuring a typical crossover look. The belt line subtly rises for most of the length and kicks up sharply below the rear quarter glass.

The roof rails would sit flush with the body, giving the vehicle a sleek look. Nissan has been employing flush-fitted door handles on its recent EVs, but it has reverted to conventional units on the 2027 Rogue Hybrid. The rear-end gets an upright posture with new taillamps, bumper, and roof spoiler.
Interior
The interior of the 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is expected to carry a more upmarket design, one that feels more cohesive, while continuing its emphasis on utility. Right from the dashboard to the center console, door cards, steering wheel, and seats, every element should have a more modern look.

We expect Nissan to employ a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the 2027 Rogue Hybrid. The climate control panel should feature capacitive touch switches, which could be perceived as a downgrade in terms of ergonomics by many users.
Specifications
The 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid is expected to ride on an updated version of the CMF-C platform. It will incorporate the third-generation e-Power technology, which debuted in the Qashqai in Europe last year.

Nissan has developed a new 5-in-1 modular powertrain unit, in which it combines the electric motor, generator, inverter, reducer, and increaser. A new 1.5-liter three-cylinder gas engine with a thermal efficiency of 42% operates at its most efficient RPM and charges a small battery pack, which then supplies electrical energy to the motor.
In the EU-spec Qashqai, Nissan uses a turbocharged version of the 1.5-liter gas engine, tuned to produce 116 kW (156 hp) and 237 Nm (175 lb.-ft.) of torque. It charges a 2.1 kWh battery pack, and using that energy, an electric motor generates up to 151 kW (202 hp) and up to 330 Nm (243 lb.-ft.) of torque, depending on the drive mode, powering the front wheels.
For the U.S. and Canadian markets, considering the Rogue’s size and local requirements, we expect a higher motor output and an optional AWD system.
