When a person buys a vehicle, (s)he typically considers things such as comfort and convenience features, passenger/cargo space, and fuel economy. But let’s face it, appearance is high up on that list too. That’s what made this Pick of the Day stand out to me. You can find this 1986 Chevrolet C10 Silverado listed on ClassicCars.com by a dealership in Palmetto, Florida. The video below shows an exterior and interior tour as well as driving footage.
Like many of you out there, I’m a sucker for the looks of the “Square Body” Chevy C/K pickups. Their simple lines and great proportions work well with different types of builds, whether it’s a lifted off-roader with KC lights or a sport truck like the one shown here. So, this truck has that going for it already, but then there’s the color, which drew me in the most. The selling dealer says it’s Kinetic Blue Metallic, which seems to be a Chevrolet color, so it’s cool that whoever chose the color kept it in the Chevy family. Kinetic Blue looks fresh and fun, and makes me think of care-free driving fun. I just love it! Even the bumpers and mirror caps are covered in Kinetic Blue. While I’d prefer chrome for those, the monochromatic look definitely gives this C10 a more modern sport truck look.

The same goes for the Viair air suspension, which drops the body nice and low over the black 22-inch wheels wrapped in low-profile rubber. To get that stance and conceal all the hardware, the crew that built this truck C-notched the frame and equipped the bed floor with a false bottom. When that’s raised up on its pair of hydraulic struts, you can see all the air suspension components along with the dual exhaust system.

The bulk of this truck’s mods are on the outside. The blue cloth interior, on the other hand, is largely stock. Sure, a couple of switches for the Viair setup and an aftermarket AM/FM/AUX/USB were added but, aside from those changes, everything else is as you’d expect. Aside from looking cool, this C10 is nicely equipped with power everything, from the windows and locks to the steering and front disc brakes.

Speaking of power, check out the engine transplant that’s under the hood. Just like the paint, the LS1 5.7-liter V-8 is also from within the GM family. The same goes for the 700R4 four-speed automatic.

If this 1986 Chevrolet C10 Silverado‘s appearance is at the top of your list of reasons to buy it, that’s okay — we totally understand. Buy it now for $27,995, and then you can discover even more reasons to like it.
