The Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe is among the sportiest and most versatile models in its segment. At the 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show, I got to see the plug-in hybrid luxury SUV-coupe equipped with some interesting accessories.
The Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe is an ideal choice for outdoorsy customers who love long-distance touring and adventurous activities like camping and skiing. Porsche offers a wide range of accessories to enable these enthusiasts to pursue their active lifestyle. I noticed that the company has fitted this particular unit with two lockable roof cross-bars and an all-season roof tent, which cost USD 680 and USD 7,029, respectively.
The cross-bars are made of aluminum and have a high load-bearing capacity of 165 pounds, which makes them suitable for mounting roof tents and other heavy objects. The roof tent features a cotton blend fabric, waterproof zippers, and an additional rain cover for the entrance hatch, and it is enclosed in a hard shell case. It offers a mattress featuring a quilted pattern as well as two side windows and a Skyview skylight.
The Coupe version of the Cayenne is devoid of roof bars across the line-up to complement its sleek look. Thus, while the roof tent can support a weight of up to 419 pounds on the Cayenne, on the Cayenne Coupe, that figure reduces to 309 pounds. It weighs 128 pounds, and Porsche recommends drivers not to exceed speeds beyond 81 mph when equipped with one.

The Cayenne S E-Hybrid Coupe has 15.3 ft³ of luggage space behind the seats, and when I peeked into this area, I noticed that Porsche has used nearly half of it to accommodate a specially designed compartment box that costs USD 861. It is suitable for small dogs weighing up to 40 pounds, such as a Yorkshire Terrier or a Pekingese. For dogs weighing up to 89 pounds, such as Labrador, Irish Setter, Shepherd, Collie, Rottweiler, and Dalmatian, the company also offers a wider version that retails at USD 922.
Powering the Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid is a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine and a permanent magnet synchronous motor. The engine produces 348 hp and 368 lb.-ft. of torque, while the electric motor generates 174 hp and 339 lb.-ft. of torque. In total, there’s 512 hp and 553 lb.-ft. of torque available at disposal. The electric motor is packaged into an 8-speed automatic transmission and relies on a 21.8 kWh (net) battery pack. A mechanical all-wheel drive system is standard.

The Porsche Cayenne S E-Hybrid hits 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and achieves a top speed of 163 mph. With its 18.4-gallon tank full and 21.8 kWh battery pack fully charged, it can travel 430 miles non-stop, as per EPA. In EV mode, the top speed and the EPA-estimated driving range reduce to 84 mph and 27 miles, respectively. Prices of the plug-in hybrid SUV-coupe without accessories and optional features start at USD 112,200 (excl. USD 2,250 DPH fee).
