Yale Lift Truck Technologies has launched the ERC2.2-3.5VG2, a 2,200- to 3,500kg capacity electric cushion tyre lift truck designed for high-intensity warehousing applications. The ERC-VG2 series takes elements of the ERC-VG model and adds new technology and ergonomic changes intended to improve operational efficiency.

The manufacturer says the series offers up to 65% faster lift and lower speeds compared with leading competitors, and up to 20% reduced energy consumption over the previous model according to VDI cycle testing, for extended runtimes. It also features the largest through-mast window in its class, 34% larger than the previous model, for improved forward visibility.

The series is offered in two configurations. The Intelimatch setting is optimised for everyday warehouse operations, while Duramatch is engineered for high-throughput, multi-shift environments, allowing customers to balance performance, efficiency and runtime. The ERC-VG2 is available with a range of battery options, including lead acid, thin plate pure lead and factory-integrated lithium-ion power.

Alongside forward visibility, clear sightlines and a near-zero turn radius are intended to help operators navigate tight spaces. The operator compartment is available with suspended and air ride seat options to reduce shock and vibration, along with controls and flip-up armrests.

The truck is designed for reduced maintenance compared with the previous model, with fully sealed wet brake axles requiring 20% less service over the life of the truck. Quick-access panels, tool-free service points and over-the-air diagnostics are intended to support maintenance efficiency and reduce downtime.

The ERC-VG2 comes with the wireless monitoring tier of the Yale Vision telemetry system as standard, and the Dynamic Stability System is available as an option. Operations can also add the Yale Reliant pedestrian awareness camera, designed to support operator awareness and provide intervention.

“Supply chains and warehouse operations run on tight margins, and are pushed to squeeze as much productivity as possible from scarce labour resources,” says Lauren Grady, product manager at Yale Lift Truck Technologies. “The ERC-VG2 series pushes electric forklifts forward with key improvements that help operations do more with less and keep total cost of ownership in check.”
