2026 Dodge Durango GT A250 Edition Is a Star-Spangled Salute to American Muscle in New York Debut

Automakers love a good anniversary, and with the United States ready to celebrate its 250th birthday, Dodge is officially joining the party. Unveiled at the 2026 New York International Auto Show, the brand-new Dodge Durango GT A250 Edition is the first production vehicle to come from Stellantis’ partnership with the America250 designation.

While special-edition appearance packages are nothing new in the SUV segment, the A250 is actually bringing some serious heat to the Durango lineup. Instead of just slapping a few badges on the fenders and calling it a day, Dodge is using this release to inject high-end SRT-level interior features and heavy-hitting HEMI V8 power into the historically mid-tier GT trim.

HEMI Muscle Meets the GT Trim

If you are buying a muscle SUV built in Detroit, you likely want some real power under the hood. While the base Durango GT A250 boasts the tried-and-true 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 producing 295 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque, Dodge knows its audience.

For buyers who crave that classic exhaust note, the A250 package offers an upgrade to the legendary 5.7-liter HEMI V8. Pushing 360 horsepower through an all-wheel-drive system, the V8 variant provides a much-needed punch to the GT platform.

And if you check the box for the available Tow N Go package on the HEMI models, this three-row family hauler transforms into a serious workhorse, boasting a massive 8,700-pound towing capacity.

A Massive Cabin Upgrade

The biggest news regarding the A250 Edition isn’t just the engine options; it’s the cabin. Historically, if you wanted Dodge’s best interior materials, you had to write a massive check for an SRT or a Hellcat model. The A250 completely changes this.

This edition is the first time the Durango GT receives Dodge’s premium performance treatment. The standard cloth or basic leather is tossed out in favor of high-end Black Laguna leather. To fit the America250 theme, the seats feature exclusive blue perforated inserts, a subtle American flag embossment, and dual red-and-white accent stitching.

Dodge also raided the SRT parts bin to finish off the cabin, outfitting the A250 with authentic forged carbon-fiber appliqués, a tricolor-stitched steering wheel, and aggressive Demonic Red seat belts.

Exclusive Styling and 2026 Pricing

On the outside, the Durango A250 gets a suitably aggressive stance thanks to a set of 20-inch Black Noise wheels and custom America250 fender decals.

The exterior color palette includes Destroyer Gray and Diamond Black, alongside theme-appropriate options like Red Oxide, Night Moves (dark blue), and White Knuckle. Buyers who opt for the White Knuckle paint can also spec an exclusive set of dual racing stripes featuring a star pattern outlined in blue tracers.
