Ford and Ferrari have a legendary motorsports rivalry, but in today’s installment of Car Connections, the two brands are on the same team. They — and Toyota — helped me link three products of the Random Word Generator with automobiles. This week’s words are slide, fast, and marine. How would you associate these words with cars? Tell us in the Comments section below. (And click here for more Car Games!)

Slide: Slip ‘N Slide. Ferrari, which introduced its side slip control (SSC) technology that “compared the angle of the car with the angle of the corner, and in tandem with the E-diff and F1-trac juggled all the variables … to push the dynamic boundaries” on the track-focused 458 Speciale over a decade ago.

Fast: How can I see this and not think of “The Fast and the Furious,” which came out 25 years ago? And how can I think of that movie and not envision the MkIV Toyota Supra?

Marine: Ford! The sixth-generation Bronco is available with marine-grade vinyl for easy cleaning — something that comes in handy after you spend a day splashing through mud.
If today’s round of Car Connections makes you want to add a Ferrari, Toyota, or Ford to your garage, look for them at ClassicCars.com and AutoHunter.com.
